Bronwen's Herbal Salves
......................................................................................................................................................

Bronwen’s Herbal Salves are made from only the highest quality ingredients each selected for their healing qualities.  Both salves are made in an organic extra virgin olive oil base for lubrication and nourishment, since olive oil is itself a healing agent, as well as the vehicle for the herbal ingredients.  The tinctures I use for their healing qualities come from one of the top reputable herbal suppliers, who test their extracts using modern chemical assay methods to ensure purity and potency.  I make infused oils of each of the herbs in the salves from locally grown or wildcrafted herbs, and add some of these oils to each salve to increase the spectrum of healing available.  Then I add just enough natural beeswax to make the salve solid, and a few drops of the Bach Flowers Rescue Remedy to lift trauma from the tissues.

Each batch of Bronwen’s Herbal Salve is made carefully by hand
in small batches to ensure maximum and optimal healing activity.

Since there are only high quality natural ingredients in these salves, there are no toxic chemicals to absorb through the skin; you could safely eat these salves (why would we put on the skin something that is toxic or potentially so, when we realize how porous the skin is as a pathway of entry into the body?)  Pets love my salves, and even if they do lick them off, you can know they are only getting wholesome nutrients.  The same is true for children – although (of course) I’m not advocating that children eat them!

The salves come in three sizes: 7/8 ounce in a plastic snaptop vial, two ounces in a white cosmetic jar, and two and four ounces in a  glass jar with screw top lid.

Soothing Skin Salve
Contains comfrey and plantain, herbs with qualities that soothe abrasions, nourish the skin, and promote cell regeneration in the deeper skin layers.  It can be used in any context where the skin is dry or roughened or itchy, including diaper rash, psoriasis, eczema. It also can be very soothing for burns and stings, and also works well to heal wounds.  I have even had testimonials from women who use it as their preferred facial cream!  Another testimonial from an artist praised its use to dissolve paint from her skin….

Healing Salve
Contains Calendula and St. Johnswort, herbs that are traditionally used to heal and repair damaged skin, shorten healing time, reduce pain and inflammation, and prevent infection.  This salve is particularly valuable in any situation where the skin is broken or there is inflammation, to promote rapid healing and prevent infection.

Custom Salves

I also make custom salves to address a particular challenge or need.  Each custom salve is individually priced depending on the batch size, the number of ingredients and the complexity of the formulation. These unique salves use a combination of oils including olive, walnut, almond, and jojoba as well as essential oils for lubrication and nourishment.
